BedWatch has created the capability for Admit Control users to create and customize their own isolation bed boards that can be used to track COVID-19 patients.
The new boards have a few important features:
- Auto Updates - As hospital staff make changes to the specific disease or transmission precaution indicated, the boards will automatically stay up to date as data is refreshed every 60 seconds.
- Shareable - Once a board is created it can be shared with other users within the facility so that information can be communicated in a consistent and standardized manner throughout the organization.
- Direct Edits - The pop-up capability that exists on the main AC Board is now available for these custom bed boards, providing a faster way to view and make necessary updates directly from the custom board.
- Cloning - The ability to clone an existing bed board and then make edits allows for the creation of additional boards extremely quickly. For example, you can easily clone to use the same template and create boards for Ventilator Usage, Patients with Discharge Orders, Observation Patients, etc.
The time required to create a custom isolation board is less than 5 minutes. Here is a short, 2 minute video, explaining each step involved.
Here is a quick step-by-step walk through:
- Log in to BedWatch
- Click on BedWatch Boards from your user menu (top right corner)
- Click New Custom Bed Board
- Follow the steps in the wizard
- Click Save & Create
