The WHO just announced today that the coronavirus is now an International Public Health Emergency. They are advising that all countries should be prepared for "containment, including active surveillance, early detection, isolation and case management, contact tracking and prevention of onward spread of 2019-nCoV infection, and to share full data with WHO."
To our BedWatch customers, we want to let you know that we can quickly make modifications to your isolation options by adding a new isolation condition for the coronavirus. This will allow staff to better identify, and track, and have better visibility around patients with this specific isolation condition.
How Long Will This Take? - We can typically make these updates to your system within a few hours of receiving your request.
What Do I Need to Do To Add This Isolation Type? - Simply contact BedWatch at help@bedwatch.com and let us know how you would like this new isolation type to appear and we will make the change for you.
How Should I Communicate This Change Internally? - You can simply let everyone know that a new isolation option for the Coronavirus will appear in the isolations lists and to select it as appropriate. There will be no disruption or training needed as this option will simply appear in the drop-down lists and reporting will be automatically updated.
