BedWatch engineers are in the process of developing a new mobile app to streamline both housekeeping / environmental services (EVS) and patient transportation tasks and reporting. Instead of using pagers and in-room IVR systems to receive cleaning assignments and update the BedWatch Bed Board, EVS team members and patient transporters will soon be able to access access BedWatch via the mobile device of their choice.
The new app makes it easier for team members and managers alike to see real-time bed status information and to update bed statuses as they go about their cleaning and rounding tasks, respectively.
The new app will be fully accessible from any internet-capable device, as well as both Apple and Android products. While the EVS component is completely new, the new transport component will ultimately replace our existing Transport Control product, with expanded reporting capabilities and the ability to access it via Android as well as Apple devices.
Currently in beta testing, we hope to launch the new app later this summer–stay tuned for more information and updates!
