The BedWatch Team is Growing

We’re excited to introduce the newest members of the BedWatch team:

Joe Beam, Director of Business Development
Joe Beam brings 15 years of sales experience, including five years specifically focused on the healthcare market. Joe has worked closely with hospital administrators throughout Texas and surrounding states to achieve a wide range of operational goals, and to help optimize efficiency at the point of care.

Joe is passionate about helping hospitals become more efficient in order to reduce costs associated with care delivery. He currently resides in the Dallas Fort Worth area with his two children.

Derek Girmscheid, Director of Business Development
Derek Girmscheid brings more than 5 years of experience working on process-improvement and clinical initiatives in the healthcare setting to his role as Director of Business Development for BedWatch®. His drive to help hospitals solve problems, and his knowledge of the modern healthcare environment, make him an excellent resource to help our hospital partners identify the tools and solutions best suited to their unique needs.

Prior to joining BedWatch®, Derek gained professional experience in account management and business development. He resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his two dogs and is an avid outdoorsman.

Bryan Telfer, Implementation Engineer
Bryan Telfer joined the BedWatch team in late 2014 as an Implementation Engineer, after using BedWatch first-hand as an Assistant Director of EVS at one our partner hospitals, managed by parent company HHS. Bryan’s unique perspective as a user and understanding of the Implementation process from the customer’s perspective makes him an invaluable addition to the BedWatch team.

Prior to joining the BedWatch team, Bryan spent four years in the Navy as an Intelligence Analyst. He enjoys photography, travel, playing soccer, and trying new restaurants. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his dog.

Tyler Wasden, Application Engineer
Tyler Wasden joined the BedWatch team in November 2014 as an Application Engineer, focusing primarily on the internationalization of BedWatch products planned for 2015 and beyond. Tyler is a full stack Rails / Javascript developer, and enjoys exploring new frameworks as well as deep-diving into rails.

Tyler graduated from MakerSquare in January 2014, and spent eight months with another Austin start-up before joining the BedWatch team. In his free time, he likes to read, swim at Barton Springs pool, travel, and enjoy the outdoors.

Rebecca Reich, Training Specialist
Rebecca Reich brings experience as a high school educator to her role as BedWatch’s first Training Specialist. Rebecca works closely with BedWatch partners, as well as the Implementation and Support teams, in order to provide our partners with comprehensive, user-friendly training and ongoing education around the BedWatch suite of services.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 with a BS in Molecular Biology and Microbiology. Her hobbies include running, biking, cooking, and enjoying the Olympics every 2 years. She resides in Orlando, Florida.
