The Florida Organization of Nurse Executives (FONE) is hosting a fall conference in Orlando next week to educate and inspire nurse leaders across the state. The event, titled Nursing Leaders: Creating the Vision for a Changing Healthcare Environment, kicks off Thursday, November 13 in Orlando, Florida.
The FONE Fall Conference is geared toward planning the future of nursing in Florida, and will focus on engagement, leadership development, patient safety, and above all, patient care.
Sessions include “Transition-to-Practice: Innovative Strategies to Develop Competent, Confident and Engaged Nurses,” “Engaging Bedside Nurses: Improving Patient Care Using a Schematic Model,” and “Florida nurses: Who we are today and who we want to be tomorrow.”
The event will also feature a range of speakers, including Mary Lou Brunell, MSN, RN, Executive Director of the Florida Center for Nursing and co-lead of the Florida Action Coalition; Roberta Christopher, EdD(c), MSN, APRN, NE-BC, CHTS-CP, Director of Nursing Research at UF Health Jacksonville; and Janet Davis DNP, RN, NE-BC, CPHQ, Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer of Tampa General Hospital, to name a few.
